Why use Cationic Polyacrylamide in wastewater treatment?

Cationic Polyacrylamide(CPAM)is widely used in wastewater treatment because it uniquely targets negatively charged organic colloids,suspended solids,and sludge—which most inorganic coagulants and anionic polymers cannot handle efficiently.

Strong charge neutralization for organic pollutants

Most organic particles,bacteria,oils,proteins,and colloids in wastewater are negatively charged.CPAM’s positive charge quickly neutralizes surface potential,destabilizing suspended particles so they agglomerate.

Excellent flocculation and fast settling

Long molecular chains form strong adsorption bridges between fine particles,creating large,dense,fast-settling flocs.This greatly improves clarification efficiency in sedimentation tanks.

Superior sludge dewatering performance

CPAM is the most effective flocculant for sludge conditioning.It forms tough,shear-resistant flocs that release water easily in centrifuges,belt presses,or filter presses,significantly lowering sludge moisture content and reducing disposal costs.
