What is the recommended storage temperature for food grade xanthan gum?

The recommended storage temperature for food grade xanthan gum powder is 10°C to 30°C(50°F to 86°F),with an ideal stable range of 15°C to 25°C.

At this temperature range, xanthan gum remains dry,free-flowing,and resistant to caking or moisture absorption. Its key properties—including viscosity, particle size, dispersibility, and microbiological stability—stay unchanged throughout its typical 24-month shelf life.

Temperatures consistently above 30°C should be avoided,as they increase the risk of moisture uptake, clumping, and accelerated aging, especially in high-humidity environments.Freezing is not required but harmless;however, condensation after thawing may cause caking.

For long-term storage and export logistics, maintaining a cool, dry, and temperature-stable environment ensures the product retains full functional performance.
